How can I help hurricane victims?I went with my friends to donate blood today, but I don't weigh enough.
I thought the weight limit was decided upon in relation to your height, but apparently it's a minimum of 110 pounds, full stop.So anyway, my point in posting here was this: I don't have money to spare right now to donate (and I'm not about to donate my parents' money...that's beyond lame) and since I can't give blood, I'm wondering what else there is that I can do to help out? I do really want to help, I'm just not sure what my options are. If any of you know what else there is, it'd be great to hear some ideas.
I'm sure my parents are glad we don't live in Houston, because I'd be begging them to take in refugees (oh, excuse me, "evacuees"). Especially after I spent all of last February/March trying to get them to adopt a tsunami orphan.
